Brief information in English

Uppsala Aero Club resides at Sundbro Airfield (Locator code ESKC) located appr 10 kilometres NW of Uppsala in Sweden which in turn is located some 60 kilometres north of Stockholm and 35 kilometres north of Arlanda International Airport.

We do encourage visitors from abroad, by air or ground transportation and welcome you to our airfield and the club facilities.

For those of you who plan to come by air, we have all the normal facilities like fuel and parking. Payment for fuel, by cash in SEK or Euro.

During business hours also authorized aircraft service personnel is on site although this is a commercial business separate from the club and service from them need to be agreed through direct contact with them. We’ll be glad to connect to them, should the need arise.

For approach information, please click on the headings under Sundbro Flygplats on the left side pane to get access to plates and information for the Sundbro airfield. There is no control tower with service hours, but the club house is manned on voluntary basis and radio contact can be established when members are present. Swedish is the normal language, but if anyone present is comfortable with English, we’ll respond to a call in English too. Otherwise you approach and land on your own responsibility and a close watch for other traffic. Please note that we are located very close to an Air Force Base and for approach by air, you need to call Uppsala tower or Uppsala Control to get clearance before entering the Uppsala TMA. At the moment there are no lodging facilities at the airfield but you can find some light meals and beverages. There is a campground at the airfield, without services but on the other hand, it’s free. There are hotels and youth hostels in Uppsala so lodging can be found in the neighbourhood and you’ll get there either by bus or taxi unless anyone of us give you a lift.
